confession not all my references are done so some characters i love very much may not get art this month unless i manage to get my act together. though ever since i've gotten a decent social media following i haven't been able to catch up on my revenges very well. my attack ratio is so cooked
of the characters that have decent references, i'm most looking forward to art featuring my newer additions (omar, fighting girlfriend, grimaldi, nice, edith). i've been considering hiding some characters i don't think about as much but i got an absolutely stunning painting of yutu and m66 by geckonoko and honestly what was i thinking. whats wrong with me. i can't believe i almost didn't get to see that
i want to produce at least one animated attack every year even if the effort it takes to actually hammer out one of those things vastly outweighs the points it earns. i think the way animations are scored is a little ridiculous like yes more frames=better cartoon it's genius it's mind blowing it's awesome 😁 (i don't have any better ideas sorry to any artfight staff who might be reading this). but i'm still very proud of my miracle star jester eclypsing transformation sequence from last year
anyway i think this will be a good year for me. i have another animation planned with a very easy-to-draw design so i have free reign to just go absolutely nuts. happy july :)

if you know anything about me you draw that i draw and it's a major hobby of mine (hobby. hobby). but i will go ahead and admit that does not necessarily make me an artist. some of my drawings are art and some of them are not, and the art that i do make is largely incidental. but, i want to make more art someday.
drawing will be the primary focus of this page but you can also expect to see me ramble about my creative processes with writing, finding inspiration and my forays into different mediums.
to finish off the semester i'll be posting all the doodles from my school notes thus far:
i am basically a digital artist but i put other things in the "my stuff" sidebar because i am insecure about it. i use pastels when i get to use them but i dont know what kind of pastels they are or how to tell if they're any good. the gel pen is just fun to use when i want to make something loose and not too ambitious.
i wound up trying mixed-media pieces to remedy this, and i want to do more of them. another thing i want to do more often is scan/take photos of my pencil sketches and color them digitally on a multiply layer or something. if you haven't yet, you should try it too!
